Yesterday (7) Sharjah played host to another decisive match in the Super 4 round of the 2022 Asia Cup Cricket Tournament between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Pakistan managed to win the match by one wicket after a hard-fought encounter.
Accordingly, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have reserved their places in the final, and India and Afghanistan have respectively been excluded from the tournament.
After winning the toss and taking the first strike, the Pakistan team gets 129 runs in the loss of 6 wickets at the end of 20 wickets. So with two more matches remaining in the 2022 Asian Cup cricket tournament, Sri Lanka and Pakistan have managed to book their places in the final. They last met each other in the Asian Cup final in 2014, and Sri Lanka won that match by five wickets.
