MATCH PREVIEW AND STATS

Pakistan vs Netherlands is a must game for both teams if they wish to continue their journey and hopes of qualifying for the semi finals. Pakistan had been performing greatly in previous T20 mediums such as the Tri-series between them New Zealand and Bangladesh as well as when they hosted England. However the previous two games have seen above average bowling displays and the most poorest of all batting.

Paki guy

Babar Azam, Pakistan’s skipper and top batsmen has been hitting it low after ducking vs India and scoring not more than 4 runs vs Zimbabwe. Muhammad Rizwan who is the number 1, t20 batsman in the world right now has also been failing to make an impact with just 18 runs in two innings so far. Pakistan’s best batting has come at one down by Shan Masood who scored 52 and 44 respectively in both games however with a Strike rate below 130. Netherlands on the other hand have performed better than expected with some decent batting threat in Collin Aackerman who scored 62 vs Bangladesh a few days back. On the bowling side of things Netherlands have a good perfomer in Van Meekeren who also took 2 in the previous game. Pakistan on the other hand have been quite decent with their bowlers in Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and the new kid who took 4 wickets vs Zimbabwe in Muhammad Wasim JR.

PREDICTIONS

PAKI netherlands

While the Pakistani batting lineup is their weakest point especially with the bounce and seam in Australia, they will do better than they did in the previous games against Netherlands especially if the first few overs go well. Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan might finally get their well performed game. Shan Masood is expected to not shy off as well today. On the other hand, decent bowling performances are expected from Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf.
