LECCE
Lecce is not having the best season – after 26 rounds Fabio Liverani’s team is in the relegation zone. It is obvious that the rest of the season the “yellow-red” will devote to the struggle for survival – after 26 rounds they are in 18th place in the table. The club can climb up several ranks – Genoa and Sampdoria are at a minimum distance.
In the second round Lecce managed to improve and get rid of the status of the main outsider of the championship, but before the quarantine the team again encountered a crisis. On Matchday 25, they were beaten 0:4 by Roma and in the following match Atalanta left Lecce without a trace, crushing them 7:2 at the Via del Mare – the defeat was already the 13th for the team this season.
MILAN
Milan also does not live up to the predictions of the fans – Stefano Pioliv’s team at the moment is not even in the Europa League zone. With 36 points the Rossoneri are in ninth place and can still fight for the Europa League – sixth Napoli has only three points more, but this place is also claimed by Parma and Verona.
As for the fight for the fourth place, there is no chance for Milan – Atalanta is 12 points more and shows a much better quality soccer. Milan have already managed to play their first match after the quarantine – in the return match of the Cup the Rossoneri defended a zero draw with Juventus, which brought the Old Lady to the final.
PREDICTION
- Lecce have not beaten Milan in any of their last seven matches – four defeats and three draws
- Milan has scored more than one goal in only one of its last seven matches
- Milan has conceded more than one goal in only one of its last five away matches
Milan will probably still expect to improve their position in the standings, ninth place in the table clearly does not match the ambitions of the club, so it makes sense to expect that in the remaining games the Rossoneri will improve. Lecce have been good from time to time, but on the whole the Red and Yellow are inferior in class, so the chances of the home side getting points are minimal.
In our opinion, the visitors will take points and the match will not be productive.
