INDIAN SQUAD FOR ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2022
Two legends, Indian batter Sunil Gavaskar and South Africa captain Graeme Smith have picked their India starters for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, which will be held in Australia in October. Captain Rohit Sharma and vice-captain KL Rahul are the first-choice openers of the Indian team.
Of course, there is a place for a new blood – young opener Ishan Kishan is battling to take his place in India’s T20 World Cup squad as a backup opener. Kishan had a big run in the five-match T20I series against South Africa as he finished as the highest run-scorer in the series with 206 runs at a strike rate of 150.36, including two half-centuries. And dont forget, that Kishan is India’s highest run-getter in T20 International cricket in the year 2022.
