For me in this match the hosts are the clear favorites and should take three points. At the same time confidently beat West Ham and Bournemouth 2-0, as well as Liverpool 3-1. The victories over Bournemouth and Liverpool were both home victories. Southampton, on the other hand, had suffered seven defeats in their previous eight league games!

Because of the cup tournaments the “Saints” have to play on three fronts at once, and that means we should not forget about the fatigue factor of the visiting players. True, they were eliminated from one of the cups, losing twice during the week to Newcastle. In their last encounter, Brentford thrashed the Saints 3-0 on home field.
