The Red and White were bolstered on the transfer market by goalkeeper Neto, defender Marcos Senesi and midfielder Ryan Fredericks. Of the losses, only midfielder Todd Cantwell returned from a loan at Norwich. The club’s sickbay includes midfielders David Brooks and Joe Rotwell.

The last time these teams met each other was in September 2020 in the League Cup 1/16, and then City won 2-1. “Bournemouth has not been able to score points against the Citizens in the last 11 games.
Manchester City have made some lineup changes this summer, and the hosts need to start their Premier League campaign with immediate success.
